Tony Martens at the Media Club
on September 20, 2010

At the first meeting of the 2010-2011 season, the Media Club invited Tony Martins. creative edito of Guerilla to be the guest speaker. The suggestion had come from Susan Hallett, former member of the Club.
Patrick Meikle was a surprise guest at the meeting and reviewed the event on his site writersdeadline.ca.

Patrick writes in his introduction:

The September 20 meeting of the Media Club of Ottawa (MCO), at the National Library and Archives, was not high on my agenda, but thanks to Rosaleen we decided to attend together. "It might be fun," she said, "and we might learn something." Rosaleen, you were dead on!

Billed as Magazine Writing - Part 1, with Tony Martins, founding editor and creative director of Guerilla Magazine, the event was one of the most interesting and engaging that I have attended at the Library and Archives in the past 16 months.
