Julie McCann, Algonquin College professor and program co-ordinator, School of Media and Design, wrote in an email that Andrea is a wonderful writer, and was the editor of the Algonquin Times, but opted to leave the program before continuing into Level 3 in Fall 2021. Instead of a formal award presentation in front of her peers, Julie shared the news of Andrea’s win during a walk in the forest with her.
